Sph Media Limited – STOMP/TNP Journalist Intern

The scope of responsibilities includes the following:

To do reporting work based on assignments for both TNP and Stomp

Interview newsmakers of a broad spectrum, gain insights into hyperlocal events, connect with the local audience on top of learning how to report with a flair.

Be part of editorial team to produce compelling and engaging content on its website and social media platforms

Interns will get to pitch stories, write + report + break exclusive news stories, learn how to curate and fact-check content, and gain experience working with a variety of content formats e.g. long-form features, breaking news, user-generated contributions and multimedia content. 

Skills and Knowledge Required:

Able to speak and write in English, ability to converse in Mandarin is a plus

Strong writing and storytelling skills, digitally savvy with basic knowledge of social media platforms, up-to-date with current affairs and trending topics, detail-oriented, resourceful

Video editing skills and experience with social media content creation are not mandatory, but a plus
