Job Description
Role Overview: We are seeking enthusiastic and tech-savvy interns to join our team as IT Support and GenAI Advocacy Interns. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about technology, user communication, and the transformative potential of Generative AI. The interns will provide technical support to users, advocate for the effective use of GenAI tools, and assist in facilitating training sessions to promote AI literacy and adoption.
Key Responsibilities:
A. Technology Support
- User Communication: Respond to user inquiries via email, chat, or ticketing systems, addressing technical issues related to software, hardware, or platform usage.
- Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve basic to intermediate technical problems, escalating complex issues to senior team members when necessary.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of user interactions, issues, and resolutions in a knowledge base or CRM system.
- User Feedback: Collect and analyse user feedback to identify common pain points and suggest improvements to enhance user experience.
B. GenAI Advocacy
- Promote GenAI Tools: Educate users on the benefits and applications of Generative AI tools in their workflows, such as content generation, data analysis, or automation.
- Demonstrate Use Cases: Showcase practical examples of how GenAI can streamline tasks, improve productivity, or solve specific challenges.
- Community Engagement: Engage with internal teams or external user communities to advocate for GenAI adoption through discussions, presentations, or social media posts.
C. Training Facilitation
- Training Support: Assist in designing and delivering training sessions, workshops, or webinars on GenAI tools and other relevant technologies.
- Content Creation: Develop training materials, such as guides, FAQs, video tutorials, or slide decks, to support user onboarding and education.
- Feedback Collection: Gather participant feedback post-training to evaluate effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
- Stay Updated: Keep abreast of the latest developments in GenAI and relate technologies to ensure training content remains relevant and impactful.
Requirements:
A. Required Skills
- Fundamental understanding of software applications, hardware, and basic IT troubleshooting principles.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Proficiency in using standard office productivity suites (e.g., Google Workspace).
B. Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with Generative AI tools and platforms (e.g., Google Gemini, ChatGPT, DALL·E, Midjourney, or other GenAI models).
- Experience with IT support ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Freshdesk, Jira Service Management).
- Basic knowledge of programming or scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript) is a plus.
- Experience in creating instructional or training materials (e.g., guides, videos, presentations).
- Comfort with public speaking or facilitating small group discussions.
C. Competencies
- A genuine interest in emerging technologies, particularly AI and Generative AI, coupled with a strong desire to learn and explore their applications.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to systematically identify, troubleshoot, and resolve user issues efficiently.
- Adept at active listening, empathetic communication, and building rapport with users and team members.
- Ability to work effectively within a team, contributing to shared goals and supporting colleagues.
- Capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks, and taking initiative to contribute to projects and improvements.
- Focused on understanding and addressing user needs to enhance their experience and productivity.
D. Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a diploma or degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field.
