SPH Media Limited – Cybersecurity Intern

Responsibilities: 

- Vulnerability Assessment / Penetration Testing : Assist in identifying, analyzing, and mitigating security vulnerabilities in applications and software systems (Web, Mobile, API). 

- Security Testing: Conduct static and dynamic application security testing (SAST/DAST) to assess potential risks. 

- Secure Development Practices: Support the development and enforcement of secure coding practices across engineering teams. 

- Security Automation: Assist in automating security testing and monitoring through scripting and security tools. 

- Research & Analysis: Investigate emerging threats and vulnerabilities to improve application security strategies. 

- Developer Collaboration: Work with engineering teams to provide guidance on security best practices and remediation strategies. 

- Compliance & Reporting: Assist in security documentation, compliance tracking, and reporting for security assessments.

Requirements:

Understanding of application security principles, common vulnerabilities (e.g., OWASP Top 10), and secure software development practices. Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, JavaScript and source code managment such as Github. Knowledge of web security concepts, authentication protocols, and encryption standards. Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment and communicate technical findings clearly. Knowledge of cloud and container technologies (DevOps).

Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in:

Cybersecurity / Information Security

Computer Science / Information Technology

Computer Engineering / Data Science

Or related technical field.

Students from STEM backgrounds with strong cybersecurity interest are also encouraged to apply.
