Job Description

We are looking for a proactive and creative Intern to join SPH Media’s Community Partnerships & Engagement team under the Chinese Media Group (CMG).

Our team sees to the promotion of Singapore Chinese culture and literacy, in charge of online and offline engagement of our audience, via flagships and branding events, Zaobao loyalty programme and gamification, and community—designing and executing flagship reader-engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

-Assist in the planning and coordination of community and reader engagement events, including logistics, partner liaison, and on-site support.

-Support the development of partnership proposals and outreach decks for external organisations, schools, and sponsors.

-Contribute to content creation for event collaterals, social media, newsletters, and Zaobao Club’s engagement channels.

-Help manage Zaobao Points Rewards and Zaobao Club activities, including redemption campaigns and member communications.

-Conduct research on audience trends, community outreach strategies, and potential collaboration partners.

-Provide administrative and coordination support for departmental projects as assigned.

Interns will gain exposure to:

-End-to-end event management and public communications in a national media organization.

-Stakeholder engagement and partnership-building across cultural institutions, community organizations, and corporate sponsors.

-Digital engagement strategy, gamification, and loyalty programme management.

-The workings of a major media group and insights into audience development in the digital age.

Requirements:

-Involvement in organizing and coordinating school events 

-Proficiency in Google Office & Canva

-Preference for those studying Chinese Studies, Chinese Media Course, or Media Studies

Mentorship will be provided by experienced engagement executives and project managers. Exposure to flagship CMG events and cross-department collaborations. Opportunity to work on both on-ground and digital engagement projects with real audience impact.
