Job Description

SCOPE

S/He will be involved in supporting with various functions of a social enterprise including research, planning & implementation of school programmes and special projects. Being a small organisation, you will be exposed to various aspects of a social enterprise and will get to handle multiple stakeholders on various projects. An excellent way to get hands-on experience in social sector as well as entrepreneurship.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support the Program Manager in designing, planning and implementing various projects with multiple stakeholders. Apart from schools, the stakeholders may include MNC/government agencies/ministries/large organisation/ social sector org / strategic partners

• Market research (primary & secondary) to explore new market/ segment for prospective programs

• Coordination and social media activities as part of the project/s

• Liaise with social sector organisations for related programs

• Support the Senior management with tasks as identified over the course of the internship Industry research on social industry in Singapore

• Support the marketing and promotion including any events/ activities over the course of the internship

• Depending on the capability & skills of the intern, there are opportunities to be involved in special projects and developing training material

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

• Student preferably completing a marketing/business or social entrepreneurship course, sociology, design or education-related subjects.

• Good research, analysis and business writing skills

• Good communication skills, both written and verbal

• Excellent communications, organizational and interpersonal skills, strong analytical ability.

• Project Management skills. Experience in handling large events or has taken initiative to work on special projects in college will be an added advantage.

• Flexible and an ability to identify and resolve problems quickly and independently.

• Experience in character education / design-thinking / training an advantage

• Interest in social media marketing favourable

OTHER SKILLS/ABILITIES

• Proficiency in word and excel

• Excellent problem-solving and organisational skills

• Taking ownership of the assigned work

• The ability to work to a high degree of accuracy

• Team-work

• Responsible and Self-motivated to complete tasks without constant supervision

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

• Willingness to learn

• Willing to multi-task and take a proactive role

• Creative and can think of out of the box (an advantage)

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Remote work for 30hours a week

• Commitment for at least 3 months

• Internship fees : $300-$500 per month / Volunteering

• The role can be carried out remotely from home or other location; presence in office is not essential

• Working log to be maintained on a weekly basis

• Commitment for at least 3 months, starting from August 2021
