The Job

In this role, you will be studying and transforming data science prototypes, running machine learning tests & experiments and performing statistical analysis and fine-tuning using test results.

You will be responsible for :

• Understanding business requirements and tailoring dashboards & ML models accordingly.
• Extracting, loading, transforming unstructured data from distributed platforms.
• Selecting appropriate datasets and data representation methods
• Training and retraining systems when necessary
• Keeping abreast of developments in the field

The Profile

• You have a degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or similar field. Having a Master’s degree or PhD will be advantageous.
• You have at least 2 years of experience within a Data Scientist or similar role.
• You possess strong knowledge of R, Python, React, SQL and Visual Basic.
• You have expertise in Data Warehousing, Mining & Knowledge Discovery, Modelling/ Statistical Modelling as well as Natural Language Processing/Text Mining and Predictive Modelling.
• Demonstrated experience working with large and complex data sets as well as experience analyzing volumes of data is required.
• You are able to write and execute queries and extract/load/transform unstructured data from distributed platforms.
• You are able to analyse business data to derive meaningful insights to facilitate strategic planning.
• You have experience with Data Visualisation Tools, Hadoop Ecosystem, Machine Learning and Mobile Analytics Solutions.
• Good knowledge of MySQL, NoSQL Databases (eg. MongoDB, Cassandra), Oracle DB, Postgre SQL, SAP Sybase ASE, Teradata and Redis databases is essential for the role.
• Having knowledge of GCP and/or AWS deployment is a plus.
• You have strong interpersonal and communication skills and are adept at working with multiple stakeholders to drive desired outcomes.

• You possess strong analytical skills and are comfortable dealing with numerical data.
