Responsibilities
- Administer and support Unix and Linux systems across production and DR environments.
- Perform system upgrades, patching, hardening, and performance tuning.
- Monitor system health, capacity, backups, and security compliance.
- Execute disaster recovery planning, testing, and failover activities.
- Provide L2/L3 incident support and manage problem resolution.
- Support projects, changes, and maintain system documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field, with 8+ years of Unix/Linux administration experience.
- Strong experience with Solaris and Linux production systems.
- Hands-on experience in OS hardening, patching, and enterprise backups.
- Proficient in Unix/Linux scripting for automation.
- Familiarity with SAN, data centre, or cloud environments is an advantage.
- Able to support 24/7 rostered operations and after-hours changes.
