The Job

Key responsibilities areas:

  • Respond to all student enquiries, approving requests for breaks in studies and preparing letters, as required.
  • Organize the renewal and cancellation of student passes, as appropriate.
  • Relay information pertaining to study materials, class timetable and exam schedule in a timely and accurate manner. 
  • Process requests for refund of student fees.
  • Monitor student attendance and ensure that follow up warning letters are issued and copied to the student’s file.
  • Prepare student contracts once the offer has been accepted.
  • Assist with student orientation and the preparation and distribution of orientation materials and textbooks etc.
  • Monitor the timely payment of student fees and advise on payment options.
  • Purchasing and tracking textbooks and course materials for students.
  • Conduct the orientation briefing given to all new students and to new staff.
  • Arrange for medical check-ups and accommodation for international students, where required.
  • Process international students upon arrival advising them regarding ICA rules of attendance, sighting their original documents and other details, as appropriate.
  • Maintain and update of student data in the student management system (online) and student p-files (hardcopy).
  • Provide service at the student reception counter and direct enquires to the related departments
  • Any other duties as assigned by your Supervisor

 

Ideal Candidate

Key Competencies:

 

  • Able to perform shift duties: 1 to 2 Saturdays per month
  • Good organization skills and the ability to work to priorities and work within deadlines.
  • Good time management skill
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative when required.
  • Good computer skills and experience with the Office suite of programs, including word, excel, PowerPoint and outlook and data base applications.
