The Job

Our client is looking for a Phonics and Reading Teacher to join the team.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting and delivering engaging phonics lessons using provided materials and lesson plans
• Maintaining fluent communication with parents, providing updates on students' progress, and addressing concerns
• Committing to assigned teaching schedule and managing basic administrative duties, such as attendance tracking and lesson documentation
•  Preparing lessons that follow the ‘Read in a Week’ program
• Interacting and teaching the children (mostly preschool) how to use Phonics in the most effective and creative way possible
• Tracking each individual child’s progress and reporting back to the parents after each class accordingly
• Building rapport with the parents
• Conducting assessments for potential students to understand what level of reading proficiency they are at, and to advise how we can help them improve
• Building up numbers in your class might possibly mean an expansion of classes

Ideal Candidate

Skills required:

• You possess a bachelor's degree in teaching or similar
• You have a Minimum 1 year of teaching experience in kindergarten and pre-primary level or kids between 3-8 years
• You have a sound understanding and knowledge of phonics
• You possess a phonics certification OR Online EdTech experience
• You have strong command over the English language
• You have the skill to deal with young kids with patience and empathy
• You are a strong networker & relationship builder
• You are adaptable and thrive in changing environments
• You possess strong analytical skills and are comfortable dealing with numerical data
