The Job

Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement cloud solutions using OpenStack to meet client-specific requirements.
• Install, configure, and maintain core OpenStack components (e.g., Nova, Neutron, Cinder, Swift).
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in OpenStack environments.
• Optimize performance, scalability, and availability of OpenStack-based platforms.
• Implement security best practices in line with industry standards and organizational policies.
• Automate OpenStack deployments and operations using tools such as Ansible.
• Collaborate with network and storage teams to ensure seamless infrastructure integration.
• Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams and clients.
• Stay updated on OpenStack developments and contribute to internal knowledge sharing.
• Participate in on-call rotation and incident management processes.

Ideal Candidate

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with OpenStack in a production environment.
• Proficiency in Linux system administration.
• Scripting experience in Python, Bash, or similar languages.
• Familiarity with OpenStack deployment and automation tools (e.g., Ansible).
• Good understanding of networking concepts (e.g., VLANs, SDN, load balancing).
• Experience with storage technologies such as Ceph, iSCSI, or NFS.
• Exposure to container technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.

Bonus Points For

• OpenStack certifications (COA or similar).
• Experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana).
• Basic database administration experience.
