The Job
Our client is now hiring an Associate Operations Centre Support Engineer who is responsible for monitoring and identifying incidents in hardware and software components across the organization. Analyses problems, and perform troubleshooting and incident response on the system. Responsible for maintaining the technical and systems documentation.
Your responsibilities will include:
A) Monitor systems performance
- Monitoring performance and capacity of computer systems to ensure stable operations
- Gathering data for network health check reports for software and hardware teams
- Identifying issues, alerts, or malfunctions in software and/or hardware components
- Preparing and documenting system health check documents for software and hardware teams
B) Resolve network-related incidents
- Identifying and responding to network-related incidents
- Adhering to organizational policies, procedures, and protocols when resolving network-related incidents
- Administering service requests
- Escalating unresolved network-related incidents
C) Oversee service level agreements and service improvements
- Assisting in developing service-level objectives and targets
- Maintaining a log of service-level performance metrics
- Suggesting improvements for procedures and controls to enhance performance and client satisfaction
- Identifying recurring incidents and potential issues for senior management
Ideal Candidate
Skills required:
- You have Preferably with 2 years of relevant working experience in at least one of the following:
i) Network Infrastructure, and
ii) MS Windows Server, UNIX, or Linux
- You have Working knowledge of three or more of the following technologies:
i) VMWARE, VDI, SAN, NAS, JP1, Backup and Recovery, CISCO switches, UNIX shell scripting, SharePoint, and/or Lotus Notes workflow.
- You are a self-initiated, highly flexible, and proactive team player who can work with minimal supervision.
- You have a strong sense of responsibility to the customers.
- You have good customer service and communication skills.
- You are able to perform shift duties.
