Job Purpose
We are looking for an energetic and self-motivated business development analyst to join our growing Innovation team. If you’re an ambitious individual excited about doing business development in the space tech industry, then we want to work with you. You would mainly be supporting the Innovation team which oversees all of SSTL’s short-term Innovation projects as well as SSTL’s global Space Accelerator Programme which supports close to 40 space tech startups. Your work would include supporting the startups’ business development and overseas market expansion plans, developing market intelligence studies, finding new revenue streams for SSTL e.g. Innovation sprints or business consultancy projects, and project managing the day to day operations of Innovation sprints and challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support business development, access to projects, brokering deals and partnerships with Singapore companies
- Study competitive landscape of startups
- Provide recommendations to startups on how to better position themselves in the market in order to secure more deals
- Work with the marketing team to increase the visibility of companies in target markets, e.g. help with drafting of press releases, social media posts, newsletters
- Support companies' overseas expansion efforts
- Research on in-country consultants whom SSTL can work with to help companies enter and expand to specific markets
- Attend events to develop new relationships and grow SSTL's network to support companies' business development
- Organize community events to facilitate innovation partnerships
- Project manage the day to day operations of Innovation sprints and challenges
- Find new revenue streams for the Innovation team, e.g. new Innovation projects or business consultancy projects
Qualifications
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate course for business, or any engineering and science field
- Keen learner, interested in the space industry and technology innovation.
- Able to analyse business operations and strategies to identify new opportunities.
- Able to perform analysis of competitive landscape
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must have a passion for supporting startups
