Job Description

JOB PURPOSE

Manage and coordinate the Purchasing activities of Singapore Red Cross Society.


PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

 Purchasing Operations

  • Responsible for daily purchasing processing (i.e. RFQ / ITQ, evaluation, issuance of Purchase Order and etc.) accordance to Society's procurement policies;
  • Prepare and facilitate the Tender process (TT) accordance to organisation's SOP;
  • Review and identify purchasing trends for bulk purchase contract or price agreement;
  • Represent the Society in negotiating pricing and terms with suppliers;
  • Drive a good working relationships with vendors, and manage the yearly vendor appraisal;
  • Responsible for inventory and reorder level.

  Purchasing Administration

  • Perform Good Receipts upon delivery and invoicing and resolve discrepancies;
  • Follow up on outstanding delivery, expiring Contracts and Agreements and informs users' departments of the status;
  • Maintain all purchasing documents and records compliance with established policies and guidelines;
  • Monitor and manage renewal of Contracts, Price Agreements and Approved Vendor Listings.

  Others

  • Participate in Society events/activities and other ad-hoc projects;
  • Undertaking any other duties as assigned.


 JOB SPECIFICATION

 Requirements

  • Minimally a Diploma in Purchasing and Logistics Management, or equivalent;
  • Preferably 2-4 years of relevant experience;
  • Strong interpersonal skills;
  • Meticulous and strong in negotiations skills;
  • Proactive and self-driven individual with positive attitude;
  • Proficient in writing and preparing reports;
  • Basic Finance knowledge;
  • Proficient in Google Apps, Microsoft Office (Excel);
  • Knowledge in Sage Accpac is beneficial.
