Job Description

JOB PURPOSE

Assist the PD - Social Enterprise Section to plan, organise, monitor and coordinate successful implementations of fund raising events and SRC social enterprise activities specifically with regards to the Shop+ programme.

 

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Operations

Assist SE Section to manage Social Enterprise and Shop+ inventory.

Upkeep the store room.

Assist SE Section in fundraising projects.

Assist the SE Section in 3rd party fundraising projects.

Assist in SE Section functions and work activities when required.

2. Donor-in-kind Management

Provide support to the corporate partners for fundraising projects.

Coordinate with HR and MVD for logistical and volunteer support.

Coordinate with SE Section for fundraising projects.

3. Product Enhancement and Innovation

Seek to understand donors’ expectations and requirements and in close consultation with SE Section and Volunteer Development, develop an action plan to enhance existing procedures and identify new systems to enhance and improve the existing procedures.

4. Events and Exhibitions Management

Provide assistance in the staging of Events and/or Exhibitions including all necessary logistics and manpower support to achieve ensure successful execution of events.

5. Shop+ & All SRC PD Social Enterprise Programmes

Coordinate donations and sales of items at Shop+.

Coordinate and source for donation in-kind for Shop+ and ensure proper collection and issuance of donated items, documentation, recording and safe-keeping.

Work closely with volunteers to ensure accountability of sales to generate funds for SRC.

Contribute to the growth and development of Shop+ by contributing new ideas as well as through creative networking during course of duty

Handle enquiries for matters pertaining to Shop+.

Ensure compliance to all financial and administrative requirements when processing Shop+ sales.

6. Any Other Duties

Undertake and support any other assignments required by PD Dept.

Qualification

Polytechnic Diploma in Marketing, Public Relations, Event Management or equivalent.

GCE ‘O’/’A’ level.

Skills and Knowledge

Good presentation and communication skills, and has the ability to relate well with people of all levels.

Self motivated, resourceful and meticulous.

Honest and reliable.

Good command of English and the ability to speak and write Chinese, Malay or an equivalent 2nd language.

Computer literate.

Enjoys interacting with people and working with volunteers.

Advantageous to have interest or experience in logistics and the retail industry.
