Job Description

JOB PURPOSE

To support the Corporate Communications team in delivering on marcoms/events support to departments and spearhead the publicity of causes through photojournalism and social engagement.


PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES


COMMUNITY OUTREACH OFFICER (SCHOOLS)

  • Plan publicity and programme roll-out for advocacy skits in schools;
  • Market programme and secure first tranches of outreach;
  • Coordinate overall skits calendar and related logistics;
  • Run programme, collect feedback, and fine-tune for future outreach.


CONTENT MARKETING OFFICER (SOCIAL)

  • Create story leads across SRC’s humanitarian services;
  • Create social campaigns and content for engagement;
  • Plan and coordinate IG-takeovers / social ambassadorship;
  • Facilitate LIVE event reporting / photography;
  • Conduct interviews and pen case studies and features (first person account, beneficiaries account, etc) for use across owned platforms;
  • Develop vblogs/broadcast ready content.


SPECIAL PROJECTS OFFICER - 70TH ANNIVERSARY

Event Management

  • Support planning and execution of the launch event and all roadshows;
  • Coordinate with event organiser, suppliers, venue sponsor, etc;
  • Support pre-publicity and communication efforts, including media, production of comms materials, social engagement channels, etc;
  • Support real-time publicity on social platforms on event day;
  • Support work and communication with all sponsors and partners;
  • Plan, prepare and execute feedback / comments /monitoring system for post-event reporting.


Community Outreach

  • Source and secure venues for roving exhibition;
  • Maintain venues calendar on microsite;
  • Support planning and production of pre-roadshow promotional activities;
  • Support planning and production of roadshow activities fulfilling departments’ needs;
  • Work with event’s organiser to plan roadshows whilst liaising with venue operators;
  • Plan and deploy resources to execute roadshows;
  • Manage activations on-ground.


PR Administrative Support

  • Assist in the development of marketing collaterals;
  • Address public enquiries specific to 70th Anniversary;
  • Provide logistical support for all outreach events/activities;
  • Work with volunteers on reporting/photography/videography of events/activities.


Admin Support

  • Heritage Project - cataloguing/archival work
  • Secretariat for SRC 70th Anniversary Celebrations (2019)


JOB SPECIFICATION

Qualifications:

  • Diploma in media studies or communications, preferably with working experience in marketing communications or events management.

Experience:

  • Candidate with experience in communication/marketing/journalism preferred.

Additional skills and knowledge:

  • Good command of both spoken - and written English;
  • Social Media savvy.
