Singapore Medical Group – IT Support Intern

IT Support & End-User Services: 

• Provide 1st-level IT support for clinic systems, applications, and devices across multiple sites, including: Clinic Management System, workstations, mobile devices, printers/label printers/scanners, wireless access points, and digital phones. 
• Troubleshoot and resolve IT issues onsite and remotely, including setup and configuration of end-user computing devices. 
• Monitor, log, track, and manage IT helpdesk tickets to resolution. 
• Assist with user administration and IT hardware asset management. 
• Conduct user IT training and maintain updated IT user guides. 
• Support new clinic setup, clinic relocations, and clinic closures.

System, Network & Security Operations: 

• Provide daily support for network (LAN, WAN, VPN), firewall, antivirus, servers (Physical and Hyper-V), and network-attached storage systems. 
• Perform 1st-level network, system, and security management tasks, including regular backups and patch updates. 
• Maintain antivirus software and ensure all critical systems are up to date with latest patches and firmware. 
• Support security initiatives, including monitoring, logging, and investigation of incidents. 
• Regularly review and report on system and account performance.

Project & Application Support: 

• Assist in application implementations, rollouts, deployments, and testing. 
• Collaborate with vendors and internal users to coordinate system enhancements, changes, and issue resolution. 
• Participate in technology evaluations and provide recommendations. 
• Perform other IT duties as assigned.

Requirements: 

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. 
• Basic knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking concepts. 
• Familiarity with databases, EMR systems, or healthcare software is a plus. 
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
