Job Description
  • Communication Skills: Exercise student’s educational background of learning to communicate more effectively within and outside the organization. Additionally, students would want to learn how to offer new ideas in a group setting. The strategies are specific, measurable, realistic and fit well within the framework of the internship. 

The interns are given specific projects like newsletter (to internal and board of directors) and will be guided to assist in collating information and how to present the newsletters. They will also participate in the project meetings engaging the management team.

  •  Professional Skills: The professional internship is intended to provide a learning opportunity for students to apply their knowledge and skills acquired in the classroom to a professional context; able to comprehend what skills transferable to new contexts, identify the practices and protocols of the Corporate Affairs in the organization and clinical research industry, successfully reflect on the quality of the contribution they have made to Singapore Clinical Research Institute; refine and reassess their own career goals as a result of the internship experience. 
  •  Creative Skills: Student will be able to understand the structure of Marketing and Corporate Communications and apply existing knowledge in new ways; create work based on the requirements of Corporate Affairs Department; gain new skills and experience with media communications or other tools that will build student’s CV/Portfolio. This includes playing a key role in the organization’s publications i.e. Annual Report, Monthly Newsletters, Corporate Website etc Also, this internship programme enables student play a key role in the planning and execution of corporate events i.e. Annual report, Scientific Symposium, Management Retreats, CEO Updates etc.
  •  Business Administration Skills: Student will be able to learn office skills by participating in a professional work environment, observe and gain understanding of office hierarchies and be able to define effective and efficient practices; accomplish tasks or assist in projects that will showcase his/her talent and liaison with internal and external stakeholders.
