Job Description & Requirements

The White Cane Club (WCC) Coordinator supports the planning, coordination, and execution of programmes and activities for WCC, working closely with the Head of Department (HOD). The role involves both administrative and operational duties, as well as engagement with clients, volunteers, and external partners on a high level.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate WCC activities in consultation with the HOD

  • Source quotations from external vendors and liaise with suppliers as required

  • Manage all forms of communication with SAVH clients and relevant stakeholders.

  • Recruit, coordinate, and support volunteers for WCC activities and events

  • Support the sale and administration of merchandise

  • Attend to all enquiries from clients, visitors, and relevant stakeholders when required.

  • Carry out other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Head of Department

Requirements

  • Diploma or post-secondary qualification in any field, or an equivalent qualification.

  • Relevant experience working with persons with disabilities will be an added advantage

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders

  • Demonstrated respect for diversity and inclusion

  • Willingness to work outside regular office hours when required (e.g. events or activities)

  • Ability to motivate, engage, and work collaboratively with clients and volunteers
