Company Profile

Silverback Aircon is one of Singapore’s fastest-growing air-conditioning companies, known for innovative services and transparent customer care. We are now evolving beyond traditional aircon servicing into business process innovation, where we explore new marketing channels, sales systems, and outsourcing models to make operations more efficient.

This internship gives you an inside look into how real small businesses test, scale, and automate — perfect for students who want to learn how marketing and operations work in the real world.

Job Description

Role Overview

As a Business Development & Operations Intern, you will work directly with the founder to design and test new projects that help the company grow. You’ll be given the freedom to explore new ideas — from campaign planning to process improvements — while documenting your results for future handover to an outsourced team.

Key Responsibilities

1. Growth Projects

  • Research and coordinate interviews, content ideas, and partnerships (e.g. interviewing ex-aircon workers, buyback programs).

  • Help manage and organize content calendars for social media platforms.

  • Brainstorm new sales initiatives (e.g. emergency services, commercial servicing, referral systems).

  • Plan and execute group buy ideas

2. Operations & Process Development

  • Document project workflows and draft SOPs so tasks can be outsourced later.

  • Track performance of campaigns using basic metrics (ROI, leads, conversions, etc.).

  • Support in recruitment-related research (finding and evaluating offshore hires such as marketing or SEO assistants).

3. Special Projects

  • Collaborate with the Philippines team to train and delegate repeatable marketing/operations tasks.

  • Help identify which parts of the role can be automated or systemized.

What You’ll Learn

  • How real business operations are structured and improved.

  • How to test marketing campaigns and measure ROI effectively.

  • Hands-on experience with outsourcing and remote team management.

  • The process of turning ideas into actionable projects with measurable outcomes.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Polytechnic or university student in Business, Marketing, Entrepreneurship, or related fields.

  • Self-driven and curious — you enjoy figuring things out independently.

  • Comfortable taking initiative, experimenting, and documenting results.

  • Strong communication and organization skills.

  • No prior experience required — but creativity and resourcefulness are a big plus.

Stipend

Competitive internship allowance (based on experience and duration).

Why Join Us

You’ll work directly with the founder, gain exposure to real strategic decisions, and help design systems that a future outsourced team will execute.

This is an internship where you’re treated as a mini project owner, not just a task doer.
