Roles & Responsibilities

Job Description

• Design of semi-submersible substructure/floater for 15MW Floating Offshore Wind Turbine (FOWT)
• Familiar with different type of rig/floater design arrangements, competent in preparing design specification, GA mooring system, lightship weight & COG
• Capable to perform main Naval Architecture calculations/analysis such as general stability (Intact and Damaged), hydrodynamic, global performance (integrated load), global structure (pre-service, in-service and strength/buckling/fatigue/all major connection), motion and airgap, coupled load, mooring & anchor system, collision etc.
• Ensure designs and standard operating procedures comply with technical specification, statutory, classification society rules requirements.
• Interact with customers, vendors, consultants and classification bodies to resolve design and engineering matters.

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Naval Architecture or Marine Offshore & Technology.
• At least 5 years of relevant working experience in the whole process of concept/basic design and detail engineering of Marine Offshore rig design or semi-submersible substructure design in FOWT industry.
• In-depth knowledge and experience in developing concept and basic design calculations and drawings of floater/semi-submersible to obtain Approval In Principal and Full Basic Design Approval from Classification bodies.
• Proficient in software packages such as SESAM/ANSYS/GHS/NAPA/AUTOHYDRO/GHS/ORCAFLEX/DEEPLINES WIND, AutoCAD etc.
• Able to work in a team or independently with minimum supervision.
• Ability to communicate and write in English
