Made out of seasoned veterans in finance and data science, Shentilium Technologies is a spin-off from the National University of Singapore (NUS) that primarily functions as a Deep Learning as a Service and machine learning consultancy.
With particular emphasis on financial markets and the FinTech industry, Shentilium leverages in-depth domain knowledge together with our expertise in Deep Learning and system implementation to construct, test, and integrate the best possible A.I. solutions for our clients. Having recently secured funding from angel investors, Shentilium is looking to aggressively expand our technical and business teams.
Responsibilities
You will be working together closely with some of the best data scientists in Singapore and Asia to develop game-changing machine learning systems and technologies targeted at the finance industry. As part of our company culture, you will also have the opportunity to gain valuable insights into entrepreneurship, machine learning, data analytics techniques, finance, and more.
- Utilize various statistical and machine learning methods to mine relationships, extract patterns and features, or otherwise derive value from data
- Perform ETL, data cleaning and data crowdsourcing tasks in preparation for data analysis
- Provide input and contribute to strategic decisions regarding the development of our data analytics product suite
- Work as part of a team and communicate ideas and feedback effectively
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in a quantitative discipline or equivalent
- Proficient in HTML, CSS, and Javascript (at least 6 months)
- Fluent in Python
- Fluent with a wide variety of statistical analysis and machine learning techniques
- Experience in data visualisation and charting libraries such as HighCharts/D3 favourable
- Good communication skills
- Able to deliver good work within tight deadlines
- Familiarity with pandas and bash scripting favourable
