SHAW Studios – Digital Design Intern

Shaw Heritage Arts and Wellbeing (SHAW) Studios is a charity dedicated to strengthening mental wellbeing, social connection and healthy ageing through evidence-based arts and heritage practices that bridge healthcare, community and culture. 

About the Role 

We are looking for a creative Digital Design or Marketing Intern to support our marketing team. This is a hands-on role for a student or recent graduate who wants real experience across design, social media, and content in a friendly, mission-driven charity. You will work closely with the Marketing Manager and see your work go live. 

What You Will Do 

• Design social media graphics, digital assets, and simple print materials in line with our brand. 
• Help plan, create, and schedule content across Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn. 
• Support campaigns and events, from preparation through to wrap up. 
• Help write and edit copy for social posts, newsletters, and the website. 
• Assist with photo and video content for programmes and events. 
• Keep brand files, templates, and assets tidy and organised. 

What You Will Bring 

• A student or recent graduate in design, marketing, communications, or a related field. 
• A good eye for design, with a sense of layout, colour, and type. 
• Familiarity with tools such as Canva, Figma, or Adobe Creative Suite. 
• Proficiency with AI tools. 
• Comfort with social media platforms and current content trends. 
• Clear writing and a keen attention to detail. 
• A reliable, curious attitude and a willingness to learn in a small team. 
• Bonus points for basic video editing, photography, or experience with email marketing tools.
