About Service Administration Division  

Service Administration (SA) division collaborates with various disability Social Service Agencies (SSAs), SPED Schools and other stakeholders to deliver quality services to persons with disabilities. SA comprises 3 main teams: Education, Services & Programmes; Scheme Support and Fund Administration & Grant Processing.

Project Description

SPED (special education) team manages the post-SPED transition process to adult disability services and works closely with staff from the various SPED schools. The team also manages Allied Professional related matters in SPED, in partnership with MOE and NCSS.

The intern will be part of the organising team for the Day Activity Centre (DAC) and Sheltered Workshop (SW) Open House. He/She will be given the opportunity to engage different service providers and learn about their disability programmes.

 

Key Duties & Responsibilities / Work Areas

The intern will support the team in the various areas below (non-exhaustive):

  • Manage DAC and SW Open House registrations by caregivers and SPED school staff
  • Send SMS and email reminders to DAC/SW staff and registered participants ensure minimal attrition and smooth running of the Open House sessions
  • Manage waitlists for in-person sessions (request DACs/SWs for additional sessions when needed)
  • Attend to email queries for the Open House sessions
  • Collate feedback to be sent to DAC/SW staff after each session

 

Requirements 

  • Interest in social services and disability sector
  • Methodical, able to organise information/data with given instruction
  • Meticulous, good organisational and time management skills
  • Proficient in MS Office
