Established in August 2017, SG Bike is Singapore’s very first homegrown bike sharing company. As a licensed bike sharing operator in Singapore, SG Bike was also the first bike sharing company to aim to resolve indiscriminate parking through its self-developed technology, Geostation. Following our announcement on 13th August, SG Bike has taken over Mobike to become the largest bike sharing operator in Singapore. SG Bike is proud to have received the 2019 Young Innovator Award by the Land Transport Authority and will continue to work towards enhancing transport options in Singapore.
Overview:
We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our growing team as a software engineer to build the next phase of our application. Our application serves more than 1 million users and you would playing a pivotal role in shaping their experience. Also, you would be reporting directly to the CEO and have many opportunities to suggest or implement new initiatives.
As a software engineer trainee, you should be comfortable around both front-end and back-end coding languages, development frameworks and third-party libraries. You should also be a team player with a knack for visual design and utility.
Learning objectives
Gain experience in developing applications via being fully involved in both front end and backend development
Learn how to translate user requirements into the overall architecture and implementation of the SG bike application
Acquire project management and leadership skills via spearheading new initiatives
Hone critical thinking skills by ideating feasible solutions to further improve the design and functions of current systems
Responsibilities:
Spearhead new initiatives such as building the next product for our application
Manage the planning roadmap and timeline for the next phase of the SG bike app
Work with multiple stakeholders to improve the application
Design client- side and server-side architecture
Requirements:
Polytechnic/University student
Knowledge of multiple front end (eg. HTML, Javascript) and back languages (eg.Java, C#, Python)
Good communication and teamwork skills
