Biobot Surgical Pte Ltd – Intern, Software and Image Processing / Computer Vision

Founded in 2007, Biobot Surgical is a Singapore-based medical technology company developing digital robotic platforms for precision prostate cancer diagnosis and treatment. Its flagship Mona Lisa platform combines MRI-ultrasound fusion with robotic transperineal guidance to enable precise prostate biopsy and focal therapy. 

Designed to enhance clinical accuracy and procedural reproducibility, the platform helps physicians accurately target suspicious lesions while preserving healthy tissue. By connecting diagnosis and treatment on a single platform, Mona Lisa facilitates seamless access to clinically relevant information throughout the patient journey, supporting integrated prostate cancer management. 

Biobot Surgical is evolving the Mona Lisa platform into an integrated digital ecosystem for prostate cancer care, where robotics, medical imaging, artificial intelligence, and longitudinal clinical data converge to enable more precise, reproducible, and personalized patient management.

Work scope

• Develop and validate algorithm prototype for image-guided robotic medical device.
• Set up testbed and protocol, and implement verification & validation for intelligent medical device.
• Validate external SDK and APIs for device integration and inter-connectivity.
• Write documentation such as technical notes and work instructions.

Requirement:

• Undergraduate or MSc student at local universities, with major in computer science/engineering, data science, electrical and computer engineering, intelligent system, or related.
• Hands on experience in fundamental image processing or computer vision algorithms.
• Hands on experience in C++ programming, experience with Python is a plus.
• Strong interest in solving engineering application problems.
• Able to work in Biobot site on the basis of full time for a minimum of 2 months, a longer period is preferred.
