Job Description

 

Overview:

As a software engineer trainee, you should be comfortable around both front-end and back-end coding languages, development frameworks and third-party libraries. You should also be a team player with a knack for visual design and utility. 

Our application serves more than 1 million users and you would playing a pivotal role in developing the next phase of it. Also, you would be reporting directly to the CEO and have many opportunities to suggest or implement new initiatives.

Learning objectives

  • Gain experience in developing applications via being fully involved in both front end and backend development

  • Learn how to translate user requirements into the overall architecture and implementation of the SG bike application

  • Acquire project management and leadership skills via spearheading new initiatives

  • Hone critical thinking skills by ideating feasible solutions to further improve the design and functions of current systems

Responsibilities:

  • Spearhead new initiatives such as building the next product for our application

  • Manage the planning roadmap and timeline for the next phase of the SG bike app

  • Work with multiple stakeholders to improve the application

  • Design client- side and server-side architecture

  • Apply front end and back end development skills

Requirements:

  • Polytechnic/University student

  • Knowledge of multiple front end (eg. HTML, Javascript) and back languages (eg.Java, C#, Python)

  • Good communication and teamwork skills
