Job Overview:
Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) have been around for some time, assisting factory owners with material handling within the shop floor. However, most of the available AMRs are based on differential drives that could not produce holonomic motions desired in congested shop floor. The objective of this project is to design and build an innovative holonomic drivetrain system for AMR that is intuitive to drive and control. Goal of position is to be part of the effort in designing, building and testing the mentioned holonomic drivetrain system prototype, getting it ready for internal demonstration
- Create and finalize concept designs for the holonomic drivetrain system.
- Work on the holonomic drivetrain system detail design and overall assembly design in 3D CAD.
- Build and test the holonomic drivetrain system prototype
