The Games Programming Intern will collaborate closely with Asia-Pacific IT & Digitalization and SHARE at NTU teams to understand and identify specific business needs, and work on virtual platform development and digital interaction design.
Job Scope:
- Adopt business needs and participate in virtual platform development, from ideation to deployment and beyond
- Support on ground-breaking platform features, issues and improvements
- Collaborate with UI/UX/Industrial designers to design interactive digital game, understand player motivations, and optimize systems and features to deliver the desired player experience
- Create clear and effective interaction design documentation
- Present designs of features and/or platform in concert with project teams
- Create animation, short videos, social media, interactive applications to promote digitalization within the organization
- Involve in game programming, mixed reality application development
Prerequisites:
- Undertaking Diploma/Degree in Computing, Arts & Design or Engineering, Interactive & Digital Media
- C++ programming, java programming, game design, game production and project management, production pipeline scripting, mobile game programming, mixed reality application development and technical direction techniques for games
- Intuitive understanding and interest in virtual platform development and UX design
- Experience in the creation and balancing of game mechanics, features and systems is preferred
- Knowledge in writing game design documentation, specs, user flows is plus;
- Software prototyping experience is added advantages;
- Comfortable working within cross-discipline teams
