Position Overview
You would be working with the Compliance Team and be exposed to regulatory requirements mandated by the Monetary Authority of Singapore to SBI Digital Markets. This would include providing day-to-day compliance support to business units and other departments while ensuring that the institution operates within the scope of applicable regulations and company policies.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Help ensure implementation and drafting of SBIDM policies, procedures, and processes to confirm compliance with the Singapore Security Futures Act (“SFA”), Financial Advisors Act (“FAA”), Payment Services Act (“PSA”), and other applicable laws and regulations.
- Conduct trade surveillance and desk reviews to monitor compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
- Generate regular compliance reports and for senior management, highlighting key compliance metrics, potential issues, and recommended actions.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of all communications and documents.
- Assist in drafting of meeting minutes for committee meetings and board meeting papers.
- Support the business in conducting due diligence and Know Your Customer (KYC) reviews for new and existing partners, including enhanced due diligence for high-risk customers.
- Assist in the preparation of Compliance training materials and conduct trainings as required to ensure staff awareness of company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with both internal cross functional teams and external stakeholders on process improvements, system enhancements.
- Process improvement: assist the Compliance team with projects on improving efficiency of implementation surrounding regulatory requirements of the company.
- Perform other related duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications & Skills
- Penultimate or final year student from a recognized university.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office – with excel being a plus.
- Highly motivated individual who exercises initiative and willingness to take on tasks to broaden exposure and learning experience.
- Essential attributes: critical thinking, problem-solving skills, meticulous, resourceful, independent.
- Able to commit full-time for 6 months immediately.
