About Saturday Kids

At Saturday Kids, students don’t just learn to code. They code to learn.

We cannot teach kids everything there is to know. But what we can do is bring out the curiosity in kids, encourage them to look at problems and think “I can figure this out myself”.

Singapore’s first coding school for kids, since 2012 we have taught over 5000 students how to learn through classes in programming, electronics, digital art and design thinking. In addition to awesome holiday camps and weekly classes, we also collaborate with corporates and non-profit organisations to create access to digital literacy for less privileged kids.

Job Description

We are looking for an HR Intern to perform various administrative tasks and support our company’s daily activities.

HR Intern responsibilities include updating our employee records with new hire information, screening resumes and scheduling interviews. If you’re interested in kickstarting your career in HR and getting a closer look of how our company approaches payroll, recruiting and employee development, we’d like to meet you.

Ultimately, you will assist in organizing and coordinating our HR policies and procedures.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Update our internal databases with new employee information, including contact details and employment forms
  • Gather payroll data like leaves, working hours and bank accounts
  • Screen resumes and application forms
  • Schedule and confirm interviews with candidates
  • Post, update and remove job ads from job boards, careers pages and social networks
  • Prepare HR-related reports as needed (like training budgets by department)
  • Address employee queries about benefits (like number of remaining vacation days)
  • Review and distribute company policies in digital formats or hard copies
  • Participate in organizing company events and careers days
  • Co-assist in developing an internal scheduling system for instructors

Learning Outcomes & Objectives

  • Develop an understanding of the various HRIS, ATS and resume databases
  • Examine current issues, trends, practices, and processes in HRM
  • Contribute to employee performance management and organizational effectiveness.
  • Problem-solve human resource challenges.

  • Singapore Citizen / Singapore Permanent Resident (PR)
  • Full-time student from any of the following institutions

    • Temasek Polytechnic
    • Nanyang Technological University

    • Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts
    • Singapore Institute of Management
    • LASELLE College of the Arts
  • Have no association with the company you are undergoing internship in any way that may give rise to a conflict of interest. Should not be an immediate family member (i.e. child) of any key shareholder
  • Keen interest to explore work opportunities in overseas market
  • Have cleared the Institute of Higher Learning's selection process for internships
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience with MS Office
