Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Software Engineer Intern to design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable and secure applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build high-performance, user-friendly applications and infrastructure while gaining hands-on experience with cutting-edge technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and optimise scalable, secure backend systems using modern technologies and frameworks.
- Convert UI/UX designs into functional, responsive web interfaces, ensuring a seamless user experience.
- Optimize application performance through techniques like caching, query optimization, and code refactoring; adhere to security best practices such as OWASP guidelines.
- Debug and troubleshoot software issues to enhance system stability, reliability, and performance.
- Collaborate within Agile teams, participating in daily standups, sprint planning, code reviews, and retrospectives to ensure high development standards and continuous improvement.
Required Skills & Technical Proficiencies
- Frontend: Experience with React, Angular, Vue, or similar frameworks.
- Backend: Familiarity with Node.js, Spring Boot, Django, ASP.Net, or similar.
- Databases: Experience with SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) or NoSQL (MongoDB) databases.
- Programming Language: Familiarity with at least one general purpose programming language.API Development: Knowledge of RESTful APIs, including knowledge of HTTP methods, status codes, authentication, and integration with frontend/backend systems.
- Version Control: Proficiency in Git and collaborative development workflows.
- Agile Development: Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
Preferred Qualifications & Candidate Profile
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Personal projects and/or prior internship experience is a plus.
