RiseAbove started as a Corporate Training services and Executive Coaching services provider. RiseAbove also has established deep roots with the local community by working and adding value to lives and livelihoods of several ladies seeking to establish their home based businesses, a need which got accelerated during the pandemic.
RiseAbove is now to also seeking to open a new line of business and become an Advisor for managing financial assets which are going to be housed in a Family Office structure (once license is received). Assets range from actively managed positions in Global Equities (Developed Markets and Emerging Markets), Commodities and Fixed Income.
RiseAbove is focussing to build and manage investments in IPOs as well as portfolio of listed equities around innovation as a central theme and has identified specific areas where it wishes to build a core understanding and a knowledge based investing approach:
1. Electric Vehicles and its supply chain
2. Renewable Energy with focus on Solar upstream manufacturing and Hydrogen supply chain
3. Beneficiaries of the Digital Economy and distributed ledgers
4. Biotech winners
RiseAbove provides an opportunity to a budding analyst to work closely with highly qualified experienced professionals and have a diverse and enriching experience at an early stage as they build out the portfolio. Based on performance, the candidate shall be considered for a permanent role once the family office is established.
Job Requirements:
1. Understanding of Company financial statements including drawing up cashflows; Analyse the information from Quarterly reports and annual accounts
2. Ability to build financial models and use various methods to arrive at indicative valuations;
3. Ability to understand the value chain of business and identify vulnerabilities and risks based on information available;
4. Monitor flow of information on public sources and social media which impact the business; Read quarterly earnings transcripts and highlight important developments;
5. Work on diverse industries and companies in parallel
Qualifications:
1. Degree in Computer Science / Statistics / Mathematics
2. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
3. Read and understand Mandarin (we are following a few companies in China as well)
4. Very high interest in investing / capital markets
