The scope of work for the intern is expected to be as follows:
Assist the Risk Dept to:
- Screen existing and new buyers/suppliers/charterers against trade sanctions, regulatory compliance, litigation/ adverse news etc, so that these counterparties can be designated as cleared for the Company to start/continue a commercial/trading relationship
- Trace the Ultimate Beneficial Owner(s) of approved Buyers and Suppliers and screen these for related party transactions so as to confirm that the trade transactions are not against internal policies
- Document the screening activities as carried out above to meet audit requirements
- Update and maintain/clean up the lists of approved Buyers and Suppliers used in the capture of contracts (in Trade Report), following from the screening activities above
- Update and maintain/clean up the database of Directors/Shareholders of approved Buyers and Suppliers used in the monitoring/tracing of related party transactions
Training will be provided for the successful candidate selected for this internship.
