We are looking for a Technology Engineer, with knowledge in MLPE (Module Level Power Electronic), batteries system, has hands on experiences in PV system design and field installation.
The candidate will be responsible for PV field setup and develop strategic partnerships and technical guidance on qualifying MLPE and batteries for PV system.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Energy Yield monitoring: Oversees energy yield monitoring activities for existing and new sites. Lead discussion to understand on PV modules performance and improve internal testing to relate to field conditions.
Energy Yield modeling: Able to use PV energy yield simulation software to compare simulated performance with actual field data to draw links and comparison.
Product Development: Drive product development of next generation modules. Understand PV industry testing requirement and be able to relate to development and testing of new products.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist R&D and process, manufacturing teams with technical analyses, troubleshooting and improvement projects.
- Plan, coordinate and be ready to work hands-on in test labs to conduct experiments if required
- Able to articulate and present confidently to internal and external stakeholders whenever required
Qualifications
- BS / MSc in Engineering or related fields
- Min. 3 years relevant experience from Energy Yield / Product Development / Field installation / Research background
- Expertise in PV modules energy yield simulation (PVSyst is a must).
- Field experiences in system design and installation
- Knowledge in PV modules characterization and analysis.
- Possess excellent communication skills.
- Possess excellent project management skills.
- Excellent team worker
- Ability to co-operate with different professionals (operations, equipment suppliers, technology institutes, supply chain, operation)
- Working experience in Solar/Semiconductors/Electronics manufacturing industries is an advantage
ADDITIONAL ADVANTAGEOUS SKILLS:
Hands on experience in system designing and installation: Familiar with PV site installation, system sizing and understanding of actual field condition and constraints
Product Reliability Test Design: Familiar with PV industry IEC testing - e.g. Damp-heat, Temp Cycle, Humidity Freeze, Light induced degradation, thermal shock.
Failure Analysis: Leading FA from technical part. In-depth understanding of module process – structure – property relations, and the degradation mechanism in actual application
Programming: Knowledge in programming languages – Python, C+, Java, for data collection and analysis.
