Negotiable 3-6 months internship (Full-/Part-time)
Rakuten’s Global Ad Tech division is searching for an engineer to join one of the teams that helps Merchants & Marketers across Rakuten companies to deliver the right advertisement to the right customer at the right time across search engines & its network.
We are on a mission to automate and optimize text, display, and video advertisements and we are looking for the right people to work together with.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Develop high performance highly available distributed systems in one of the biggest e-commerce company.
- Work with various teams to deliver data store/data access/data feed platforms as a part of core platform team at Rakuten
- Support high impact advertisement business.
- Design, develop, test, release, and operate the platform with full SDLC with Agile methods.
- Autonomy to shape your role and learning
Requirements
- Inquisitive to learn new technologies and advertisement domain
- Quick learning capability
- Fluent with coding in at least one programming language (C / Java/ Scala/ Python)
- Experience in SQL and database concepts
- Familiar with Linux and Network.
- Good communication skills, fluent in English, both written and oral.
- Good understanding of software engineering best practices, capable of working in a global distributed engineering team.
