We are looking for a well-rounded and passionate Design Intern–Womenswear to join us in growing a contemporary fashion and lifestyle brand. If you’re passionate about what we do and ready to learn, we’d love to hear from you!
— key responsibilities
As a Design Intern–Womenswear, you will:
- Assist the Head of Womenswear in creating an aligned aesthetic across products, fabrics, and colour
- Support the Head of Womenswear in reviewing assortment and implementing the necessary action points
- Ensure that r y e’s offering continues to drive the brand forward season on season and delivers quality and design integrity that is true to r y e’s DNA
- Show a high level of awareness of current trends; use this knowledge to guide and support the Design Team
- Conduct extensive research and produce sketches according to the timeline and the framework of r y e
- Piece together a detailed garment technical pack to fully translate the design concept
- Assist in product launches, campaigns, events, partnerships and other initiatives to help build the brand, drive sales, and increase engagement
- Support the Merchandising Team in setting up and executing e-commerce and retail operations
- Provide operational support in retail customer service and sales when needed

- A passionate and curious individual who has an interest in the fashion industry, art, wellness, and music; possesses the essence of intentional and slow living
- Affable personality with strong written and verbal communication skills
- A keen eye for aesthetics and ability to deliver design integrity true to r y e’s DNA
- Demonstrates extensive technical knowledge and a great understanding of textiles and colour
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud programs, in particular Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, and Procreate
- Possesses a positive attitude and growth mindset; strong ability to work independently
- Good understanding of customers’ needs and the brand's aesthetic
