Job Description

The intern will be attached to the Fleet Operations (Launches) section and will support the Fleet Management team in the following activities:-

  1. Work on Power BI (Business Intelligence), deliver fresh insights on crew’s reporting work process. Able to create visually appealing and interactive reports, dashboards, and data visualisations.
  2. Support the team in fleet operations and management. This could involve assisting with monitoring vessel performance, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.
  3. Support the Fleet Operations team in safety and surveillance aspects such as maintaining all the cameras are online, streaming and recording.
  4. Explore and conduct Proof of Concept on Internet-based application for monitoring and reporting of data derived from seagoing vessels. Major aim is to gather and analyze data related to marine operations, such as vessel performance, fuel consumption, or maintenance records. Use data analysis tools to identify trends, areas for improvement, and make data-driven recommendations to enhance operational efficiency.
  5. They will plan and organize workforce engagement activities, publicity, and workshops.
  6. The intern will work alongside the Fleet Operations team in testing and implementing the Fleet Craft Status Monitoring System.
  7. Participate in sustainability projects and initiatives to optimize the fleet's operational efficiency and reduce environmental impact. This may involve researching and implementing sustainable practices, evaluating energy consumption, and exploring alternative energy sources.
  8. The intern will also perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
