Pixium Digital Pte Ltd – Software Engineer Intern

The ideal candidate:

• Is currently pursuing a qualification in computer science, computer engineering, or related fields:

• Has some experience in web development

•  Has good knowledge in Javascript, HTML, Php, and CSS and at least one CMS or framework (WordPress, Symphony, Yii2, or others)

• Experience with AWS deployment is a plus

• Love to try out new technologies.

• Is a team player and is eager to learn from our experienced team

The selected candidate will join the team and get involved in all aspects of the company from project definition, realization to delivery. As part of the team, candidates will have the opportunity to learn and grow with the company.

Job Responsibilities

• Undertake feasibility research on the possibility of implementing technologies within our engineering workflow

• Write software that will be used in production, and has meaningful impact on Pixium Digital project

• Give and receive technical feedback through code reviews or design discussions

• Partner our engineers in doing research on how to optimize front-end / UI testing workflow and process

• To aid in the full systems development life cycle from requirements capturing through design and development to delivery.

• Support the team with existing and new projects. 

Learning outcomes

• Be exposed to JavaScript, HTML, Php and CSS and at least one CMS or framework (WordPress, Symphony, Yii2 or others)

• Be more comfortable using SQL or NoSQL database

• To be able to learn MVC frameworks such as Symphony, Yii2 or Laravel

• Participate in AWS services such as EC2, S3, Route53, AutoScaling group, Load balancer

• Gain knowledge consuming Restful APIs

• Gain knowledge in payment solution integration

• Learn how to use repository services such as Github or Bitbucket

• Able to learn different coding systems
