Picco Pets Private Limited – UI / UX Designer

You will be one of the first full-time UX/UI designers in the company. Being a startup you will be exposed to a variety of tasks to help you gain experience fast in various ways. The information you collect through research will be used by stakeholders to make strategic product decisions. You will be observant to details while maintaining awareness of higher-level goals. You will also incorporate sound logic in your recommendations and deliver them with care and sensitivity to stakeholders.

As a designer situated in a complex and ever-changing world, you will go through the continuous process of learning and unlearning to adapt and to grow. You will develop your learning path with strong support, guidance and mentorship from your manager.

The community activities of the design team help to keep the team informed about trends, broader conversations and developing a more holistic perspective of the design industry.

Responsibilities

• As a UI/UX designer you will be expected to plan and execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to development

• Identifying and translating user needs and motivations into compelling user experiences that visually express the company’s brand in order to meet business goals

• Articulating the reasoning and strategy behind your solutions to team members and stakeholders

• Create wireframes, user flows diagram, and site maps to communicate interaction and design ideas

• Create prototypes that allow for user testing and user interviews

• Conducting user interviews and associated reporting

• Create overall concepts for the user experience within the platform, ensuring all interactions are intuitive and easy for customers

• Work in an Agile team where there is close collaboration with the front-end and back-end developers in an iterative manner

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience working in digital design preferred.

• Proficient with industry-standard design tools (Figma preferred).

• Problem-solving skills and familiarity with technical constraints, business and user needs.

• Proven ability in communicating conceptual ideas and design rationale within a user-centred design process.

• Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary UX and product teams on technical implementation.

• Experience with Agile, SCRUM methodology is a plus

• Having worked with animals or a charity is a plus

• Ideally you are an animal lover as well =)
