Job Description

Job Summary:  
Assist in managing the purchasing and support activities of the Procurement Department at the Singapore Head Office. Including new projects under various brands, and support the direction of the Group Procurement Manager.
Responsibilities:

  • Sources for vendors and evaluates quotations.
  • Negotiates and coordinates with suppliers and cross functional teams for best possible price purchases.
  • Coordinates with other departments internally, on stock availability and delivery schedules and to maintain tight inventory control.
  • Generate purchase order and maintain the filing system of purchasing records.
  • Involved in planning, sourcing and recommending suitable materials, products, goods and services in accordance with desired purchase conditions, from local and overseas suppliers and vendors.
  • Ensure procurement procedures and policies are followed.
  • Conduct regular review cost effectiveness and performance of suppliers and vendors by making random checks on supplier’s and outlets.
  • Carry out ad hoc assignment as instructed by Management.


Requirements:

  • ‘N’/’O’ level, or Certificate or equivalent in Purchasing/ Materials/ Supply Chain Management
  • Minimum 1 years of purchasing experience
  • Effectively bilingual in English & Chinese in order to liaise with Chinese oriental speaking clients and associates
  • Pleasant disposition and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Positive work attitude
  • Good administrative and problem solving skills
  • Able to handle multi-tasking and work pressure
