Job Description

Position: Events Intern

Reporting to: Events Manager

Position Overview

Padang & Co operates at the forefront of corporate and startup innovation. We are on the lookout for future change-makers who believe they have what it takes to drive the open innovation agenda across Singapore and in the region. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced, growing team that works with startups and corporates every day to design and manage world-class programmes.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Assist with Padang Events Team in the planning and organising of events;

  • Assist in hosting and executing online, hybrid and/or full physical events such as workshops, zoom meetings and webinars

  • Support the event team with admin and operational duties where necessary

  • Attend, participate and provide support at client events, meetings, media sessions, as required

  • Understand client/partner briefs and coordinate between various partners and vendors in the pre event preparation leading up to event day

  • Source for quotes and ability to negotiate to obtain cost-effective prices from vendors.

  • Assist with project management, set-up and production of the event from start to end

  • Help in keeping an accurate inventory of clients’ samples, prepare loan forms, facilitate delivery to media and follow up for sample returns

  • Get an insider view of the startup and innovation ecosystem and see how technology is shaping the future in various industries;

  • Understand how an event is planned and executed with finesse 

  • Evaluate end-to-end events processes and suggest improvements

Good To Have

  • Ideally, you would also have some experience planning and executing events.

  • Familiar with hackathons and innovation challenges 

  • Basic knowledge of Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator

  • Some knowledge in ZoomWebinars and other events platforms

  • Some knowledge of the startup, entrepreneur, innovation, developer/tech, and/or other communities in Singapore and in the region
