Our Learning Lodge – Teaching Internship

We are a tuition centre and social enterprise with a focus on primary school education.

Concerned with the rising trend of dual-income families, Our Learning Lodge is a drop-in centre, which engages the latchkey children in meaningful after-school activities. The centre also serves as an alternative space for the children to drop by and spend their time in a structured manner. All students are welcome to visit Our Learning Lodge between 3pm to 9pm after school.

Our Learning Lodge has three key social missions. Firstly, Our Learning Lodge provides engaging and stimulating play experiences to promote social interaction among children. Children are welcome to visit the centre to play educational board games after school hours and they can play for FREE! Our Learning Lodge’s open space concept allows children to bond together over such activities. There are also study corners in the centre for students to drop by to do their work after school. Children can also try out the escape room, Unravel, at Our Learning Lodge. Unravel is the first escape game in Singapore specially designed for children aged 10 to 16 years old. Unravel puts their intelligence and detective skills to the test, training their logical thinking and problem solving skills. Through this ‘PLAY’ arm of Our Learning Lodge, we strive towards igniting their passion for learning.

Believing that each child is unique with different learning needs, Our Learning Lodge provides affordable and customized lessons according to each child’s learning profile and needs, to maximize the potential of each child. Despite the personalized lessons and differentiated learning materials, we ensure our services remain affordable to many. Through this ‘LEARN’ arm of Our Learning Lodge, our second mission is to impart knowledge and skills.

Believing in the value of innovation, Our Learning Lodge holds regular contests to set children thinking of the social issues in Singapore. It challenges students to unleash their creativity and encourages innovation. Our Learning Lodge also serves as a social causes hub, by opening up the space for Non-Profit Organizations to pilot their innovative start-up causes. In the future, we hope to create a learning hub with inter-generational programmes where the elderly and youth can learn from each other. Through this ‘INNOVATE’ arm of Our Learning Lodge, our third social mission is to inspire each individual to achieve his fullest potential.
