Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Risk Management and Data Protection Intern to join our team. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience across critical areas, including Business Continuity Management, Incident Management & Insurance Claims, Data Governance & PDPA, and Enterprise Risk Management. The intern will provide essential support to various initiatives, contributing to the organisation's resilience, compliance, and responsible data stewardship.

Risk Management:

  • Support the preparation of risk assessment reports and presentation materials.
  • Assist in documenting incident reports and maintaining accurate incident logs.
  • Support the compilation of information required for insurance claims.
  • Help track the status of incident resolution and claims progression.
  • Support in system enhancement for incident reporting portal (ServiceNow)
  • Assist in the review and update of Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) and Business Impact Analysis (BIA) documentation.
  • Support the coordination and logistics for BCP exercises and training sessions for BC Coordinators.
  • Help compile and organise BCM-related data and reports.

Data Governance:

  • Support the development of data inventory maps and data flow documentation.
  • Support the update of Data Governance-related policies.
  • Assist in preparing materials for the Data Governance Committee meetings.
  • Contribute to the preparation of PDPA awareness materials, such as the annual quiz and relevant case studies (non-compliance due to people, process, and third-party breaches).
  • Support for system enhancement for data breach incidents on the incident reporting portal.

Learning Opportunities: 

  • Gain practical exposure to a wide range of risk, compliance, and data protection functions within a healthcare setting.
  • Develop a foundational understanding of key regulatory frameworks (PDPA, HIB, etc.) and industry best practices.
  • Enhance analytical, research, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Work closely with experienced professionals and contribute to impactful organisational initiatives.

Qualifications

You are:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Business Administration, Information Technology, Data Science, Risk Management, or a related field.
  • Good academic performance.
  • Demonstrated interest in risk management, compliance, data protection, or incident management.
  • Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides).
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, organised, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to work with little supervision and as a team.
