Job Description

The incumbent will support division-wide projects and initiatives relating to operational alignment / efficiency / technology adoption. The work will focus on helping the team ideate and drive multi-functional projects across strategy and operations for our nursing homes.

We are looking for talents who are passionate in contributing to the community care sector and enjoy working in a fast moving, energetic and results oriented environment. The candidate will need exceptional initiative, strong organizational and analytical skills, and the ability to multi-task and work creatively. 

Job Description

  • Support any quality improvement and process optimization initiatives
  • Assist to create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
  • Support project planning, stakeholder management and drafting reports to management
  • Drive implementation of multiple projects concurrently across the division.
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to understand various key work processes, gain better insight into a business problem and formulate data-driven approaches to resolving them, analyze and draw conclusions for presentation to management
  • Support any operational resilience or business continuity and risk management activities
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Diploma/Undergraduate degree, majoring in health related majors, business administration or process engineering
  • Interest and passion to contribute to the healthcare (community care) sector at large
  • Proficient in Google Suite or MS Office
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to handle multiple concurrent activities and projects.
  • Able to persuade, negotiate and influence key stakeholders.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision and under pressure
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skill
  • Strong strategic and critical thinking

Other Information

As an intern within the strategic operations team/RCD, you will play a key role in various projects such as conceptualization and development of a digitization roadmap for existing forms and workflows, a performance dashboard for measuring operational excellence, and support pilot implementation of new technologies at our nursing home facilities. You will be able to indicate your preference, receive supervisory guidance and 1-to-1 coaching from experienced team members. Strong candidates can be involved in more than one project where relevant.

Projects Description

1. Developing Digitisation Solutions and Process Optimisation for various stakeholders

 Project Deliverable: Roadmap, timeline and deliverables for 100% digitisation

Project Summary:

  • Deep dive into existing forms and workflows that require digitisation
  • Engage stakeholders and develop workable timelines for sustainable deliverables
  • Support stakeholders in achieving required outcomes through process innovation, process redesign or LEAN methodology etc.

Learning Outcomes:  You will be able to,

  • Demonstrate an understanding of the care services provided within a nursing home setting. 
  • Apply process improvement and stakeholder management skills to drive implementation
  • Hone skills in excel formulae or script writing to develop digital solutions for optimizing digital workflows 
  • Learn about applied digital strategy in a healthcare setting

 

2. Conceptualizing and piloting performance management platform for nursing home operations

 Project Deliverable: Performance Dashboard 

Project Summary: 

  • Identify success indicators for operational excellence in a nursing home setting 
  • Streamline data collection and collation processes required for regular reporting of success indicators 
  • Design a dashboard to report operational performance

Learning Outcomes: You will be able to,

  • Demonstrate an understanding of the care services provided within a nursing home setting. 
  • Apply critical thinking and analytical skills to evaluate effectiveness of service delivery. 
  • Communicate quantitative findings effectively using data visualization tools. 
  • Learn about applied digital strategy in a healthcare setting

 

3. Piloting Digital Solutions for our Seniors Project Deliverable: Pilot Progress or Evaluation Reports

 Project Summary: 

  • Assist in the implementation of new technologies piloted at a nursing home 
  • Define pilot objectives and measures to evaluate success 
  • Collect and collate necessary information to perform cost-benefit analyses 
  • Conduct data collection and analysis to evaluate success of various implementations
  • Produce progress reports in word/ppt formats for management

Learning Outcomes: You will be able to,

  • Demonstrate an understanding of nursing home processes and operations 
  • Apply critical thinking and analytical skills to evaluate the feasibility and effectiveness of new technologies in a nursing home setting
  • Communicate findings effectively through reports and presentations
  • Learn about applied digital strategy in a healthcare setting

 

4. Planning and Executing key Business Continuity Exercises

Project Deliverable: Business Continuity testing plans, schedules, exercise execution and post exercise reports

Project Summary: 

  • Take lead in the planning of business continuity activities at our nursing homes 
  • Define exercise objectives and measures to evaluate success 
  • Garner participation and execute exercises, including briefing and debriefing stakeholder.
  • Produce exercise reports and review recommendations in word/ppt formats for management

Learning Outcomes: You will be able to,

  • Demonstrate an understanding of nursing home operations and business continuity in the eldercare/healthcare context
  • Display administrative and stakeholder management prowess to plan, execute and review business continuity exercises in a nursing home setting
  • Communicate findings effectively through reports and presentations
  • Learn about applied business continuity management strategy in a healthcare setting
