NTUC Health Co-operative Limited (NTUC Health) is an NTUC enterprise that provides a comprehensive and integrated suite of quality and accessible health and eldercare services to meet the growing needs of families and their dependents. Building on close to three decades of experience and expertise, NTUC Health is among the largest providers of active ageing, senior day care, nursing home, and home personal care services in Singapore. We also serve vulnerable seniors in selected areas in Singapore through Community Case Management Services (CCMS), CREST mental health support, and a sheltered senior group home. Community Support: CCMS (Community Case Management Services) | CREST (Community Resource, Engagement and Support Team) | Henderson Home
- Assist in therapy sessions and support nursing home residents in exercises, mobility, and activities.
- Prepare equipment and ensure a safe, clean therapy environment.
- Support residents in basic daily activities (ADLs) and encourage independence.
- Facilitate simple group activities and engagement programs.
- Observe, report participation, and assist with basic documentation.
Qualifications
You are:
- In possession of a valid BCLS+AED certificate.
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree or diploma or ITE.
- A team player with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to learn.
- Proficient in Google Suite applications.
Other Information
Learning Objectives & Outcomes:
- To learn about common elderly conditions and their impact on function and behaviour.
- To be able to assist in basic therapy activities and support residents' functional tasks under supervision.
- To gain knowledge in safe handling techniques, infection control, and professional workplace practices.
- To apply basic rehabilitation principles in facilitating activities and encouraging participation.
- To learn how to communicate effectively and engage residents, including those with cognitive impairment.
