Job Description

NHST Media Group is a world leader in providing the best and the specialized news in the following three market segments: shipping, seafood, and oil & gas. All our publications are to be characterised by journalistic thoroughness and quality, as well as by an ability to find the exclusive news that will surprise and involve our readers.

The Group has a very decentralised organisation that is close to its sources and the various publications’ markets.

In Singapore, we are looking for dynamic and confident Business Development Executive for our Content Sales Team. If you have tons of energy, self-motived and driven by the concept of a cap-less commission, then this role is for you!

Responsibilities:

  • 90% hunter’s role - focus will be on new client development
  • Conduct high volume prospecting for qualified leads
  • Conduct needs assessments calls with specific prospects as assigned
  • Responsible for servicing and retention of the existing clients
  • Collaborate with team to achieve better results
  • Exceed weekly, monthly and yearly sales target
  • Participate on behalf of the company in exhibitions or conferences
  • Review self-sales performance to improving it

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Previous successful sales prospecting experience OR a strong interest in a selling role
  • The desire to meet and exceed measurable performance goals
  • Excellent communication skills in English and any Asian language, both verbal and written
  • Basic understanding of the Oil & Energy/shipping industry is preferred, but not essential
  • Must be a sociable and with networking ability
  • Great telephone etiquette (warm, clear, pleasant)
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and challenging target driven environment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Must be digitally savvy, independent, proactive, result-oriented and a team player with positive attitude.
