NexPage is the world's first translated summary app that lets people learn more books with less time in the language they want.
Today, if someone wants to read a book but does not know the language, they are limited to what they can find on Google. This is unacceptable because it is difficult to even know what to search for, and hiring a translator for this purpose is prohibitively expensive.
We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to gain knowledge and learn about other cultures without being limited by language or distribution barriers. We envision a world in which someone in the United States can get key ideas in English from a book originally written in Chinese, and someone in Indonesia can get key ideas in Bahasa Indonesia from a book originally written in Japanese.
We are creating this world by producing high-quality summaries of the best nonfiction books from around the world and delivering them in the mother tongue so that people can save time while reading in their preferred language.
Job Requirements
- Superb command of English and an ability to write beautifully
- Proofreading skills
- A self-starter and a team player with great interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work on the go and respond swiftly to sudden content needs or changes
- Ability to deal with changes or tight deadlines
- Professional knowledge of MS Suite, especially Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
- Keen interest in North Asia (China, Korea and Japan) or have lived/worked in those countries before
- Motivated and voracious reader who is driven for self-growth no matter where the source of information is.
This role will be a remote freelance position, so you can work from the comfort of your home.
