Job Description

Position Overview:

The individual will manage the tracking database, assist with bursary and tuition applications and provide support to the Programmes Management Team to ensure that all NeuGen programmes, initiative and events run smoothly throughout the year. The Assistant Programme Strategist will coordinate with different partners, vendors and stakeholder with regards to the different programmes and services. The Assistant Programme Strategist will provide support to the Manager, Programmes and Services.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Assisting Programme Management team with creating and managing a tracking database

2. Collating past and present data in our Client Management System (CMS), and translating it into an Excel tracker database

3. Processing of bursary and tuition application forms & collation of relevant supporting documents

4. Checking eligibility criteria of bursary and tuition applicants through the supporting documents submitted

5. Assisting clients with the bursary application process face-to-face and via call/texts

6. To create records in the CMS

7. To send out SMS to beneficiaries for the bursary event and to register them

8. Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Programme Management team in other areas, where applicable

Supervision Received:

Supervision is provided by the reporting supervisor. Position requires ability to perform with minimal supervision.

Supervision Exercised:

No direct reports.

Core Competencies:

Proficient in MS Office

Good team player and have strong problem solving skills, communication and interpersonal skills.

Excellent organizational and time-management skills, including ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and juggle priorities

Ability to work with tight deadline and is strong with follow up.

Ability to work under pressure
