NVPC operates giving.sg, the national platform that connects donors and volunteers with registered charities in Singapore. The GSG Platform team leads the product strategy, development, improvement, and ongoing operation of giving.sg, working across business, design, technology, data, and stakeholder teams to deliver a reliable and user-centred digital experience. The team's desired outcomes are to improve the giving and volunteering exprience, strengthen platform performance and adoption, and deliver product enhancements that respond to user and sector needs.
Project Overview: The intern will support product management and business analysis activities for giving.sg and related digital initiatives. The internship will provide hands-on exposure across the product lifecycle, including market and competitive research, requirements gathering, backlog and user story support, user and regression testing, data analysis, user research, product documentation, and cross-functional coordination. The intern will work with business, design, engineering, and other stakeholders to support evidence-based product decisions and the delivery of platform enhancements.

Key Deliverables:
- Market and competitive research reports covering relevant product, user, sector, and industry trends
- Competitive benchmarking and feature comparison analyses with findings and recommendations
- Documented and refined product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria ready for development and testing
- Prioritised feature and enhancement recommendations supported by research, stakeholder inputs, user feedback, and available data
- UAT and regression test coverage reviews, completed test execution records, defect logs, and post-release verification results
- Product dashboards and reports that track agreed metrics, KPIs, user behaviour, and product performance
- User research and feedback findings that identify key themes, pain points, and improvement opportunities
- Maintained product and backlog documentation, including meeting records, requirements, decisions, and supporting artefacts
- Presentation materials and stakeholder updates that support product planning, governance, and decision-making
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct market research to identify relevant trends and validate product concepts and features.
- Perform competitive analysis of comparable digital products and track industry developments relevant to the product area.
- Assist in gathering and analysing product requirements from internal and external stakeholders.
- Support the writing, review, grooming, and refinement of user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Participate in the ideation, assessment, and ranking of feature and enhancement ideas.
- Review UAT scripts for coverage against acceptance criteria, execute UAT, and log defects clearly.
- Review regression test scripts for coverage, execute regression testing, and log defects.
- Support post-deployment and post-release verification checks.
- Pull and analyse data to support product decisions and build or maintain dashboards and reports.
- Track agreed product metrics and KPIs and highlight relevant trends or issues.
- Support user interviews, surveys, and feedback sessions, and analyse feedback for themes and pain points.
- Prepare product documentation, meeting materials, agenda items, presentations, and collateral for internal or stakeholder discussions.
- Maintain product and backlog documentation, including requirements, decisions, and meeting records.
- Coordinate with engineering, design, business, and other teams on execution, and attend and take notes at cross-functional meetings.
Qualifications
- Pursuing a diploma or degree in Information Systems, Business Analytics, Business, Product Design, Computer Science, Communications, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document information clearly and accurately.
- Good analytical and research skills, with attention to detail and an interest in understanding user and business needs.
- Comfortable working with data, spreadsheets, presentations, and documentation tools.
- Ability to organise work, collaborate with different teams, and follow through on assigned deliverables.
- Interest in digital products, user experience, product management, business analysis, or technology delivery.
- Exposure to tools such as Jira, Confluence, Power BI, or similar product, analytics, and documentation tools would be an advantage.
