Job Description
  • Process and verify supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy in coding, amounts, and approval in accordance with company policies.
  • Assist with the preparation and execution of supplier and staff payment runs via variousmethods and help reconcile vendor statements.
  • Maintain and update the vendor master database, including processing new vendor setuprequests and validating vendor authenticity.
  • Support the accounts payable team with month-end closing activities, such as accruals and account reconciliations.
  • Respond to internal and external queries, providing timely and professional communication with vendors and other departments regarding invoice and payment status.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a degree program in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of fundamental accounting principles (e.g., debits/credits, thematching principle) and a strong desire to learn accounts payable processes.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail, with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables) and a general aptitude forlearning new accounting software or ERP systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with team members and external vendors.
